Are we going?! 🚀

How to properly implement your personal branding on the web:

Step 1: Define your MVB (Minimum Viable Brand) to clarify your personal brand

Before detailing this first point, I start by making a small clarification: any production has two dimensions: melts And the shape. This first step consists in working on the background. You are going to ask yourself several questions to define your brand identity. That is the purpose of this paragraph 😊

Let's go! 💥

MVBDoes that mean anything to you? In fact, it is a concept derived from the MVP (Minimal Viable Product) which is a minimal version of a product that a company wants to bring to market. In short, it is the minimum that is used to move forward.

With the MVB, we apply this principle to our brand. This tool therefore allows you to release a minimal version of your brand that will serve as a solid base. Later, you can rework it in quick iterations, without having to redefine everything.

So here is the method that allows you to release your MVB (Minimum Viable Brand) as soon as possible 🤩:

Who is your enemy? (Why)

According to Simon Sinek, people don't buy what you do but why you do it. Here, you need to think about the purpose of your business: What idea are you fighting against? What situation do you want to change at all costs? It will be your WHY.

What is your mission? (What)

Your mission stems from your desire to fight your enemy, from the problem you want to solve.

What are your weapons? Your 3 main strengths? Your battle cry? It will be your WHAT.

What is your solution? (How)

What do you suggest? What is your advantage compared to your competitors? What is your main feature? It will be your HOW.

What is your personality?

What are your 3 main personality traits from this selection? Differentiate the dominant trait.

Define your brand tone

Your tone matches How you are going to communicate based on your personality traits. Example: if your first personality trait is seriousness, don't adopt a casual, quirky and humorous tone! 😅

Visual transcription

Come on hop, it's time to transcribe the words in visual identity ! You will create your graphic charter with three elements: your logo, your typography and your colors.

In short:

  • The logo: expresses the reason for being
  • Typography: reflects the tone
  • Colors: reflect personality and mission

But before going headlong into the development of your design, I recommend that you go and look for inspirations : websites, designs, portfolios that you like. Don't forget the 2022 branding trends!

You should also think about sections of your site. Yes, there are also some on a one page site 😉 Here are some examples of sections:
